After the home-jacking – burglary in the presence of the victim – at the home of PSG replacement goalkeeper Alexandre Letellier, three weeks ago in Yvelines, a fourth suspect was indicted and placed in pre-trial detention, franceinfo learned from from the Versailles public prosecutor’s office, Wednesday January 10.

This man, aged 20, had been indicted in another case since the events and imprisoned. He was therefore taken from prison to be placed in custody by the Versailles judicial police on January 2. He was indicted the next day by an investigating judge for “organized gang extortion with weapon, kidnapping followed by release before seven days and criminal association”.

Three other suspects arrested at the scene

On December 19, around 2 a.m., several men broke into the 33-year-old footballer’s home. Under threat of a knife, they had jewelry given to them. His wife had received a blow to the face. When the police arrived on the scene, the police were able to arrest three suspects, one aged 20 and two aged 16.

The number of home-jackings is on an upward trend in 2023 compared to 2022, according to figures obtained by franceinfo from police sources. 475 home-jackings were recorded in 2022, including 337 in Paris and the inner suburbs, compared to 469 in the first 11 months of 2023. But for five years the figures have remained relatively stable, with 585 home-jackings in 2019.
