Sci-fi comedy with quirky humor, Stéphane Lafleur’s fourth feature film follows a team of volunteers recruited to collaborate on the first manned mission to Mars. This B team will not be visiting the Red Planet. Rather, she will experience the adventure in parallel behind closed doors on Earth, in the hope of remotely resolving the interpersonal problems encountered by the five real astronauts who will land on Mars.
” Viking is certainly my most ambitious film ”, had confided to Press, last May, the filmmaker behind Continental, a film without a gun.
Written by Stéphane Lafleur and Éric K. Boulianne, the film stars Steve Laplante, Larissa Corriveau, Fabiola N. Aladin, Hamza Haq, Denis Houle, Marie Brassard and Martin-David Peters in the lead roles.
Filming is due to end on December 22. The release in the room Viking is scheduled for fall 2022.
