Nagui has distinguished himself in the world of media for several decades. Indispensable face of the PAF, the husband of Mélanie Page has several hats. Host, producer or even actor, the main interested party does not like to rest on his achievements. If he is to this day one of the favorite personalities of the French, Nagui has come a long way. “Beheadings, I’ve known that. I must be a multi-headed monster to have lost quite a few in my career…”, he confided for Point in 2019.
And to go further without a filter: “I was fired from RTL, Europe 1, France 2, TF1, Canal +, I know that in a registered letter, everything can stop. In this business, we are not on permanent contracts ! […]” But unlike Michel Drucker, the happy father of four children is not anxious about the idea of bowing out in the years to come: “It’s not vital for me to be a host, whether on the radio or on the small screen. What remains important is to manufacture, to build, to imagine, to design… If I am said abruptly, tomorrow, you stop animating and you dedicate yourself to the production by putting other animators or animators forward, I would be delighted”.

This Tuesday, April 25, 2023 in the columns of Telerama, relatives of the famous presenter confided in him at length. And they were many to praise his work! “He makes worthy shows, and manages to entertain people in a positive way,” assured Rodolphe Belmer, the CEO of TF1. An opinion shared by Stéphane Sitbon, emblematic figure of France Televisions : “He’s one of the last great artists and craftsmen of TV […]. Nagui is a great gateway for the more popular categories which would have France Inter the image of an old teachers’ radio”.
However, a former leader – whose anonymity has been preserved – took out the sulfateuse to talk about Nagui: “You can’t imagine the arm wrestling that Nagui engages behind the smiles”, he blurted out before concluding: “He’s a pretty terrifying character. He’s a multi-millionaire thanks to public service, and that’s the problem.” An outing that is likely to make people talk…
