Jean-Yves Queinnec, a former candidate for the National Front and other far-right parties in the legislative elections, made a Nazi salute and shouted “Heil Hitler”Friday in Rosporden (Finistère), leaving a conference by journalist Erwan Chartier, reports Saturday June 1 France Bleu Breizh Izel.

The editor-in-chief of the weekly The PoherErwan Chartier, held a conference on his book Callac de Bretagne or the obsessions of the extreme right, recounting the pressures experienced by elected officials around an abandoned project to welcome refugees.

According to France Bleu Breizh Izel who questioned Erwan Chartier, Jean-Yves Queinnec first made comments “nauseating about immigrants”before leaving the room giving a Nazi salute and shouting “Heil Hitler”. The Quimper-Concarneau Human Rights League, organizer of the event, will file a complaint.
