A former administrative assistant at the Integrated Health and Social Services Center (CISSS) of the Laurentides was accused of having made false vaccination passports during the COVID-19 pandemic.
More specifically, Dylan Fortin faces charges of breach of trust, production of forgery and unauthorized use of a computer.
According to the UPAC investigation, Mme Fortin allegedly used access linked to his position to produce these false vaccine passports issued by the Quebec government, between July and November 2021.
She will have to appear on 1er November at the Saint-Jérôme courthouse.
Mme Fortin is not the first employee of a CISSS or CIUSSS to be arrested for manufacturing false vaccine evidence: employees from Quebec and Montreal, in particular, have been caught in the past.
Those who obtained and used them have also been in hot water: the first infringement notices began to be distributed in August 2022.
During the presentation this week of its annual activity report, UPAC revealed that it had its best investigation record for 2022-2023, recording 231 accusations and 35 convictions, a result mainly driven by investigations into false evidence. vaccines.
