A man is suspected of having raped and sexually assaulted several young disabled people between September 2021 and April 2022, Agence Radio France learned on Sunday March 3 from a judicial source, confirming information from Le Parisien. A judicial investigation was opened by the Paris prosecutor’s office for “rape against a vulnerable person”, “sexual assault on vulnerable people” and “violence against vulnerable people which did not result in incapacity for work”. According to the first elements of the investigation, four victims – now aged 14, 18, 22 and 23 – are concerned. According to the accusations, the facts took place between September 1, 2021 and April 14, 2022.
Still from a judicial source, on April 29, 2022, parents filed a complaint for “rape” and “sexual assault” against the driver of the transport company responsible for taking their daughter – suffering from a physical and cerebral disability – to his educational establishment. The suspect, now 67 years old, is suspected of having “abused her on several occasions”.
The transport company which employed the driver decided in April 2022 to fire him “due to inappropriate behavior”. From a judicial source, “other students from the same establishment then came forward stating similar facts”. The suspect – who was not known to the courts for acts of the same nature – was placed in police custody at the minor protection brigade, then presented to an investigating judge on Friday before being indicted and placed in pre-trial detention.
