The violent attack on a referee during the Ankaragüçü-Rizespor match, Monday 11 December, in the Turkish football championship, led to the suspension of all upcoming matches. At the end of the match, the president of the Ankara club very violently attacked the referee, victim of a punch in the face, then hit numerous times by several people once on the ground . The president and two other individuals were taken into custody on Tuesday. The referee suffers from a head injury.
