Raquel Garridolawyer and columnist by Cyril Hanouna in “TPMP”, won the legislative Sunday June 19 in Seine-Saint-Denis. From the “Insoumis” party, or rather the “Nupes”, of Jean-Luc Mélenchon, she won with 53.5% of the votes in Drancy and thus beat Jean-Christophe Lagarde, in power for 20 years.
“A page is definitely turning and I wish good luck to our fellow citizens with the one who is now responsible for representing them in Parliament,” tweeted outgoing MP Jean-Christophe Lagarde. “What you achieved this evening, no one thought that It was possible. It’s absolutely historic.”declared Raquel Garrido on her arrival at the Pablo-Neruda room in Bobigny, the city where she gathered more than 70% of the votes. “What you have succeeded in demonstrating in this territory is that politics is not a matter of bargaining. Convictions cannot be bought”she continued.
“Today, the forces of the left have united to face a macronist system, supported for 20 years by Mr. Lagarde. These 20 years of Lagarde have smeared the constituency, disgusted the inhabitants, further distancing them from democracy. But this time it’s over, Sunday it’s the people who will win by sending Raquel GARRIDO to the National Assembly, by making Jean-Luc Mélenchon the Prime Minister of this country”, she wrote on June 17 on her Instagram account in the caption of a campaign video.
