With the arrival of summer and the return of the Estivaliers au travail program, a dozen young people aged 13 to 15 will have their first work experience this summer.

Several mandates will be entrusted to them, including gardening, housekeeping and landscaping, car washing, and also babysitting. The objective is to partly respond to the problem of labor shortage, but also to allow them to develop new skills.
“Often, it’s young people who haven’t had a job yet and that allows them to fill out their CV, then to have a first experience,” commented the coordinator of the Estivaliers au travail program, Jean-Christophe. Cyr.
What motivates young people is to acquire new knowledge. Many told TVA Nouvelles that they were eager to enter the job market.
“Our generation is more active, decided a student. Since COVID, there are people who no longer want to work. There, it’s like the young people of our age who take over a little ”.
