The first images of the film retracing the life of singer Whitney Houston were unveiled on Thursday.

In a trailer punctuated by some of the great successes of the diva, like How Will I Know and, of course, I Wanna Dance With Somebodyactress Naomi Ackie is seen playing Whitney Houston before and after she rose to fame.
From the young woman who sings in a choir to the one who interprets the national anthem at the Super Bowl, the milestones in the life of this musical icon will be shown in this film which promises to make “discover the Withney that we do not ‘has never known’.
I Wanna Dance With Somebody is written by Anthony McCarten, the same man who looked into the life of Freddie Mercury in Bohemian Rhapsodyreleased in 2018.
Directed by Kasi Lemmons, the film also stars Ashton Sanders, Stanley Tucci, Clarke Peters and Tamara Tunie.
I Wanna Dance With Somebody is due to hit theaters in December.
