After an autumn tour which gave birth to many hopes, the XV of France is back to try to finally claim a title on the occasion of the Six Nations Tournament. In anticipation of the first match against Italy, Fabien Galthié and his staff published, Tuesday, January 18, a list of 42 players invited to prepare for this meeting, from Sunday in Cassis (Bouches-du-Rhône).
If the whole of the France group retains a certain framework with unbreakable executives like the best player in the world Antoine Dupont, an uncertain time, several neophytes have been summoned. As such, Léo Berdeu (opening half), Daniel Bibi Biziwu (prop), Jules Favre (centre/winger) and Yoan Tanga (third row) will go to Marcoussis for the first time in the shoes of players from the XV of France.
On the other hand, the Blues had to face the packages of Matthieu Jalibert, injured Sunday against the Scarlets and Charles Ollivon, still not recovered from a knee ligament injury. They could find the group during the competition. Other players go the opposite way and leave the infirmary. This is particularly the case of the overpowering center, Virimi Vakatawa.
Frequent holders since the start of the Galthié mandate, Mohamed Haouas and Bernard Le Roux are also making their return after an autumn tour which saw them lose points in the hierarchy in their respective positions.

This list of 42 players will then be reduced to 23 names on the match sheet for the first match of the Tournament. It will be Sunday February 6, against Italy.
