The Patriotes men’s hockey team from the Université du Québec à Trois-Rivières (UQTR) is back in the grand final of the Canadian University Championship, a first since 2003. The Trois-Rivières representatives won their semi-final match against the Ryerson University Rams by a score of 7 to 2. The Patriots will meet the University of Alberta Golden Bears for the final game.

“It’s a great accomplishment. We have been working hard for several years to bring the program back to the Championship as well as to the Grand Finals. We are very happy for us student-athletes, the program and the university. Our players have been on a mission all year,” said head coach Marc-Étienne Hubert.
