“On October 6 at 6 p.m., let’s gather in front of the Lens sub-prefecture against the high cost of living!”, indicates the press office of the French Communist Party on Tuesday October 3 to franceinfo. This is the first meeting given by the PCF after the call to gather in front of the prefectures and “invade them even if necessary”launched by the party’s national secretary Fabien Roussel in mid-September.

“This initiative, supported by Jean-Marc Tellier, deputy for Pas-de-Calais, Cathy Apourceau-Poly, senator for Pas-de-Calais and all 13 mayors of the 3rd constituency of Pas-de-Calais, aims to obtain an increase in salaries and retirement pensions. She collected more than 10,000 signatures”further indicates the PCF press office.

“We don’t want alms” ! adds the PCF press release. “Let’s meet on Friday October 6 at 6 p.m. for the submission of petitions, in front of the sub-prefecture of Lens. With Fabien Roussel, deputy for the North and National Secretary of the PCF, Jean-Marc Tellier, deputy for Pas-de-Calais and Cathy Apourceau-Poly, senator of Pas-de-Calais and the mayors of the department.”
