A semi-detached was completely destroyed by a fire on Saturday afternoon in Val-des-Monts in Outaouais.
The blaze broke out around 5:15 p.m. in a semi-detached before rapidly spreading throughout the building.
“The first building was completely destroyed by the flames, and the firefighters are busy extinguishing the second building,” said Josée Forest, spokesperson for the MRC des Collines-de-l’Outaouais police department.
Fortunately, no one was injured.
The semi-detached is a total loss and the damage caused by the fire is estimated at over $ 650,000.
“The cause of the fire is undetermined at the moment, but everything suggests that it would be accidental,” added the spokesperson.
