The Matane shrimp processing plant, Fruit de mer de l’Est, is engulfed in flames as a major fire broke out on Friday evening.
The Sûreté du Québec claims to have received a call for assistance to the fire department around 6:30 p.m.
The PQ MP for Matane-Matapédia published a video of the scene in the evening on the social network control the fire.
The fire occurs a little more than ten days after the announcement of the factory’s closure on March 18.
