A fire outbreak quickly brought under control at Renault Truck in Blainville-sur-Orne

The fire broke out around 8 a.m. this Wednesday morning in the vehicle alteration building of the Renault Truck heavy goods vehicle factory in Blainville-sur-Orne. The fire started from the battery of a diesel truck. the building was evacuated for safety and there are no injuries.

Of “many employees are trained in fire management,” specifies the communication of the site where approximately 2,500 people currently work. It was therefore one of them who managed to put out the start of the fire before the arrival of the emergency services. The building, however, was engulfed in smoke. The firefighters therefore carried out the smoke extraction using a turbine. “There is no _no damage_,” indicates Renault Truck and production was able to resume quickly.
