A fire destroys a house in Fauguernon, near Lisieux

A fire broke out on Sunday January 2 in Fauguernon (Calvados) at a place called Eglise, north-east of Lisieux. At the beginning of the afternoon, around 2 p.m., the flames destroyed a dwelling house of 120 m². The fire then spread to the attached garage.

The man who lived in the house was able to get out before the emergency services arrived: he is unharmed. The firefighters who intervened then proceeded in the early evening to cool a bottle of acetylene, to avoid any risk of explosion. For the same purpose, they also searched for an oxygen cylinder which was in the garage.

In total, around thirty firefighters intervened, using 4 lances.
