A family finds itself on the street after a fire broke out in their building near the Atwater market on Sunday afternoon.

The flames appeared shortly before 2 p.m. Sunday, in a three-story building on rue Rose-de-Lima, in the Sud-Ouest district of Montreal.
About fifty firefighters, 19 fire trucks and several cars from the Montreal Police Department were dispatched to the scene. “It was a surface fire that was quickly brought under control,” said Stéphanie Lorrain, spokesperson for the City of Montreal fire department.
A family had to be relocated following the fire. No one was hurt.
