The “We Love Green” festival began on the evening of Friday May 31 in the rain, in the Bois de Vincennes. Several dozen people braved the bad weather to join this festival which aims to be respectful of the environment.
Top start for the We Love Green festival. Bad weather won’t spoil the party. Over three days, on the outskirts of the Bois de Vincennes, a rap, pop and even electro program takes place, from Ninho to Justice, via Hamza. For programmers, We Love Green allows artists to have their first festival, sometimes in front of a very young audience.
The festival is attentive to its carbon footprint: no meat for consumption, 87% of night owls arrive by public transport, and energy expenditure which is intended to be controlled. “We tested a solar farm last year. This year, we have a green hydrogen generator. We have a whole new generation biofuel system made from green waste. We have restricted the energy potential by music group”, explains Marie Sabot, director of the festival. In total, 130,000 people are expected at We Love Green, which kicks off the Ile-de-France festivals.
