(Washington) A US federal judge in Washington on Tuesday rejected a health measure that allows the immediate deportation of migrants crossing the land borders of the United States without a visa.
The measure, called “Title 42,” is “arbitrary” and does not follow federal rules, Judge Emmet Sullivan said. It had been implemented by the Trump administration in March 2020, at the start of the COVID-19 pandemic.
