A 24-year-old man with a heavy psychiatric history stabbed to death his 57-year-old father in the night from Saturday to Sunday in Metz.
The tragedy took place in a family of Syrian origin in the Borny district, east of Metz. The son was “in a rather heavy psychiatric context“, told AFP the prefecture of Moselle. It is known and followed for schizophrenia.
Investigations are underway, led by the Metz prosecutor’s office. The man was subdued by his brothers, before the intervention of the police who took him arrested and taken into custody.
The five brothers and sisters of the alleged perpetrator were taken care of in relative emergency by the firefighters for gashes.
