A famous singer dies in the middle of a concert at the Accor Arena in Paris (Bercy)!

It’s a shock! This Saturday, October 15, the concert offered at the Acor Arena in Paris-Bercy ended tragically. Invited by the Carimi group for a unique show tour, singer Michael Benjamin, also called Mikaben, died at the end of the concert. Aged 41 and from Port au Prince, the artist was accompanied by Carlo Vieux, Mickael Guirand and Richard Cave. Shortly before 11 p.m., as the show was coming to an end, the singer collapsed after finishing his performance in front of thousands of spectators. Doctors and emergency services quickly intervened to try to resuscitate him, but in vain. His death was officially announced shortly after midnight. The concert was therefore interrupted and the room, in shock, evacuated.

A concert postponed twice because of the Covid

It was such a long-awaited evening! Thousands of fans of the Caribbean group Carimi met this Saturday, October 15 in the huge Parisian hall of the Accor Aréna (ex Bercy) to attend a unique and unpublished show since the dissolution of the group in 2016. This event was all the more anticipated as it had to be postponed twice due to the health crisis due to Covid-19. Invited to this festive gathering, the Haitian singer Michael Benjamin, well known to fans of Caribbean rhythms, was able to enthuse the crowd until the end of his performance. It was only when he finished the latter that a heart attack literally struck him down. Our thoughts are with his family and his fans.
