a famous journalist replaces him!

It’s an announcement that didn’t surprise many people… This Tuesday, December 26, Laurent Ruquier made his hasty departure and from BFMTV official via Instagram, just three months after his arrival: “I would like to thank Marc-Olivier Fogiel for the trust he has placed in me and that he wanted to continue granting me for the January resumption but I prefer to stop there (…) You have to know how to accept your failures.” Indeed, the audiences of the 8 p.m. from Ruquierwhich he had co-hosted since September with Julie Hammett, were not the most encouraging, and only 211,000 viewers responded to the daily meeting of the ex-host ofWe are not in bed And We just want to laugh about it on France 2. But Marc-Olivier Fogiel has already bounced back and his replacement has already been appointed: according to The Parisian, it will be the journalist Yves Calvi, who will recover the half hour he had given to Laurent Ruquier at the start of the season. He will therefore present his show Calvi 3D until 8:30 p.m.

From Monday January 8, 2024, the BFMTV schedules will be greatly disrupted. It must be said that at the start of the 2024 school year, Marc-Olivier Fogiel plays big : for the first time since the creation of the news channel 18 years ago, BFMTV fell behind CNEWS for an entire continuous week, and was demoted to the rank of second news channel in France. A sad disillusionment for the boss of the channel, who will have to compensate for the departures of Bruce Toussaint and Laurent Ruquier with umpteenth readjustments. So, in the morning, Maxime Switek will take over from Bruce Toussaintwith a brand new installment called Live Switek. He leaves the evening slot that he has played for four seasons to Julie Hammett, who will take the reins of a new program called Julie until midnight. This therefore leaves the 7-9 p.m. slot that it has embodied since the start of the school year, and will be replaced by Yves Calvi on the first tranche, then Alice Darfeuille on the second.

Many recruits to strengthen the chain in difficulty

To try to strengthen the ranks, Marc-Olivier Fogiel also decided to recruit new journalists and experts: the boss of BFMTV managed to steal Charlotte Méritan from Julien Courbet, and the journalist will appear in the morning show of Christophe Delay and Adeline François for a consumer column. This same morning will see the arrival of three other new faces: psychologist Johanna Rozemblum, health journalist Margaux de Frouville, and real estate expert Marie Cœurderoy. As revealed by The Parisian, a car column is also planned, but its incarnation has not been revealed. Finally, according to journalist Clément Garin, two other faces will strengthen the channel: the reporter from JDD Stéphane Sellami, and the young journalist from Franceinfo Naoufel El Khaoufi.
