Holidays can sometimes be synonymous with misadventures and big sores. This Wednesday, August 10, 2022, it was Candice Boisson, a former candidate for “Koh-Lanta” who proved that the summer break is punctuated with big scares. Revealed in 2016 by participating in the “Treasure Island” edition, the young woman explained on Instagram that she is currently facing some health concerns and that she suffers from whitlow at the one of his thumbs.
Put on antibiotics by her doctor, the former adventurer explained why she feared having her finger amputated: “Some of you have written to me saying: ‘Watch out, my friend had his finger amputated because of this.’ So I was a little scared. That’s why this morning, even though I was on antibiotics, I preferred to go to the doctor.”
A wise decision since the latter decided to take a radical measure: “News from my thumb. I finally had to have my finger cut open this morning to get the infection out which was migrating to the palm of my hand.”
Very active on Instagram, the young woman then explained how she contracted paronychia: “I guess it’s doing my nails. I pushed the cuticles a bit and I think it opened up and got infected. I’ve had it before and just by putting alcohol, it passed, except that it didn’t pass. You have to be really careful because if the infection is too deep, it can infect the bone and the blood.‘ she replied honestly.
