The research is still extensive. A European arrest warrant has been issued against a 17-year-old inmate who escaped from the Bonneville remand center (Haute-Savoie) on December 24, the Annecy prosecutor’s office announced on Friday December 29.
The investigating judge in charge of the case “issued an arrest warrant which I had distributed at European level”, declared the public prosecutor, Line Bonnet, confirming information from BFMTV. The teenager is not armed and did not benefit from any complicity, the prosecution said. A call for witnesses accompanied by a photo of the young man was published at the start of the week on social networks by the gendarmerie who deployed, in vain, a major device to arrest him.
The minor targeted by the arrest warrant had been placed in pre-trial detention on December 18 for an armed robbery, but he fled during a medical transfer on Sunday. He had taken advantage of “opening the sliding door of the prison vehicle so that the driver can get in and escape on foot”shackled with a wrist handcuffed to the belt, detailed the prosecutor.
