A dozen Ryanair flights, from or to Spain, were canceled on Monday August 8, and 111 others were delayed. At issue: strikes by Spanish flight personnel to demand an improvement in working conditions and the signing of a collective agreement. These mobilizations must last until January 2023, four days a week (Monday to Thursday).
The Irish company, which offers more than 650 connections with Spain, estimates that these work stoppages have had “minimal effect”according to a statement released on Monday.
A total of eight of the Irish low-cost carrier’s flights were canceled until 1 p.m. They were to leave from Barcelona airport or land there, according to the Union Syndicale Ouvrier (USO), which organized this strike with the Independent Union of Airline Crew (SITCPLA).
