A Douai policeman almost gets run over by a 28-year-old motorist

It is 11 p.m. on Monday when a motorist, drunk, refuses to submit to a police check in Sin-le-Noble, near Douai. It undertakes, at the wheel of his car without a licence, in a chase across fields, followed by municipal police officers. At the exit of the fields, three agents of the Douai BAC are waiting for him.

He finishes his run and crosses a ditch

“Stop-sticks”, tools thrown on the road to stop the car, are used. Wanting to avoid them the 28-year-old motorist rushes towards a sidewalk and fails to knock over an agent who is diving along a low wall. He is not injured.

The young man finishes his run and descends a ditch three meters deep and crosses stagnant water. He rebels but is finally arrested and taken into custody.
