A documentary on Robert Charlebois financed by Telefilm Canada

The extraordinary life of Robert Charlebois will be written and directed by Louis-Philippe Héneault (To the aid of BeatriceThe feature-length documentary is one of 21 Canadian films financed to the tune of $4.9 million by Telefilm.


The documentary film, which will retrace the key moments in the life and career of Robert Charlebois, now aged 80, will be produced and distributed by Les films La Tribu. The extraordinary life of Robert Charlebois expected to be released in 2025.

Other films funded under the Feature Documentary Program include: The last actby Sophie Deraspe (Antigone), which focuses on people receiving medical assistance in dying.

Telefilm Canada reported receiving a total of 122 funding applications for this feature-length documentary program. Of the 21 films selected, six are intended for the French-language market and 15 for the English-language market.
