On Wednesday June 29, the 13 Hours sets sail for Indonesia. The Pacific Ring of Fire is a magical place, home to an active underwater volcano.

Engulfed under the waters of the Pacific, an underwater volcano simmers and could wake up at any moment. Located in the Celebes Sea in the far east of Indonesia, it is one of the most fascinating dive sites in the country. This colossus of fire immersed in water captivates lovers of the seabed. “I touched a stone at the top of the volcano, and it was hot“, testifies a diver. In the heart of the ring of fire of the Pacific, this volcano, which formerly emerged from the sea, found itself engulfed at the beginning of the 20th century.

A group of Indonesian divers prepare to explore the site. “This place is great, the coral is beautiful and the water is warm“, notes one of the members of the group, who has already dived there more than 20 times. He now wants to show the place to his two friends. In the region, there are thousands of dive sites. The one they have chosen is uncrowded. Only a trained eye can spot it.”The top of the volcano is where the bubbles are“, explains the man accompanied by his friends. Under water, these eruptions of gas testify to the presence of the volcano. These small bubbles which escape are harmless, but are the proof of volcanic activity.
