Israeli forces carried out several strikes on Wednesday April 24 against Hezbollah commanders in southern Lebanon.
The Israeli army announced on Wednesday April 24 that it was carrying out a “offensive action” in southern Lebanon. It struck Lebanese Hezbollah via its air force and artillery. According to Myriam Benraad, political scientist and Middle East specialist, professor of international relations, “we could expect a deterioration of the situation due to the increase in attacks on the border forcing Israelis to be relocated”.
Uncertain Israeli statements
With its strikes, the Israeli army claims to have killed half of its commanders in this sector since October. “With what happened, we have an intensification of tensions, but I will take with caution the Israeli statements according to which half of the Hezbollah movement has been neutralized”she added.
