A prison officer was injured after a woman shot him in Pontoise hospital. The suspect and his accomplice thus managed to escape.

Escape in the Val-d’Oise. One inmate of Osny remand prison escaped Tuesday, December 21, in the evening, from Pontoise hospital. He was undergoing a medical extraction after he “was discovered in his cell in the process of mutilating himself”, the prison administration told franceinfo. In the hospital parking lot, an escort agent received a gun shot from an accomplice.
Armed with a shotgun, the woman watching for the arrival of the detainee slightly injured the officer, who was protected by his bulletproof vest. The officer’s life is not in danger, the prison administration assured. The detainee and his accomplice then fled and are currently wanted.
According to AFP, the man, from the community of Travelers, was remanded in custody in a murder case. According to the Actu17.fr site, it is suspected of having killed an 18-year-old young man in Valenton (Val-de-Marne) on the night of September 28 to 29.
