The draw for 7th round of the 105th French football cup took place this Wednesday, November 3 under the aegis of the French Football Federation. In Côte-d’Or, this concerns the club of ASC Saint Apollinaire Football which plays in national 3, but also the DFCO which, like all league 2 clubs, is entering the competition. And that’s good, the two Côte-d’Orian clubs will compete for the 7th round of the competition. The announcement fell around noon.
There are therefore 168 teams, divided into ten geographical groups, which will compete for this 7th round. Meetings are planned Saturday November 13 and Sunday November 14.
A 100% Côte-d’Orien derby between Saint Apollinaire and the DFCO
Saint-Apollinaire managed to reach the 7th round of the Coupe de France by pulling the club from US Charitoise 2 goals to 1 on Saturday, October 30.
Saint-Apollinaire remains the only amateur club in Côte-d’Or still in contention in the competition. Fauverney was eliminated in the 6th round by Jura Dôlois, club Nationale 3, 1-0. He will meet the DFCO for a 100% Côte-d’Orien derby. There will be only one Côte-d’Or club in the next round. The match will be played in Saint Apollinaire, announces the DFCO this afternoon. In principle, between two amateur and pro clubs, it is the amateur club which is supposed to receive.
Before playing the 7th round, the DFCO will travel from this Saturday, November 6 to Corsica to face Ajaccio in the Ligue 2 championship, on behalf of the 15th day.
