“Nearly 250 people mobilized on the farm of Vincent Verschuere, a farmer in legal proceedings with his neighbors for more than ten years”explains journalist Irvin Blonz, Friday, May 6, in Saint-Aubin-en-Bray (Oise). “The story begins in 2010 when he decides to build two buildings to extend his operation. The construction is authorized by the prefecture, but it is close to homes. Residents complain of noise and smell and go as far as to lodge a complaint against the farmer”says the journalist.

“Justice ruled in their favor twice, in 2018 and then on appeal in 2022. Vincent Verschuere must pay more than 100,000 euros in damages. He may even have to destroy one of the buildings if he does not put himself in compliance. A Leetchi kitty has been set up and has already collected more than 10,000 euros”concludes Irvin Blonz.
