At least one injured is to be deplored. A demonstration by residents of Kherson, a city in southern Ukraine occupied by Russian forces, was dispersed by automatic weapons fire and tear gas on Monday, March 21.
Videos broadcast on social networks by two local media, Souspilne Novini and Most Kherson, show protesters advancing towards the center of Place de la Liberté, and at the same time soldiers going to meet them before opening fire. Videos taken from at least two different angles then show the flight of several dozen demonstrators under heavy fire.
The following images, initially broadcast on a local Telegram account, have been verified by Les Révélateurs de France Télévisions:

Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmytro Kouleba denounced on Twitter “Russian war criminals (who) opened fire on unarmed people peacefully demonstrating against the invaders”.
A preliminary investigation has been opened for “violation of the laws and customs of war”, announced the Kherson regional prosecutor’s office. According to the press release (in Ukrainian)servicemen of the Russian forces used firearms and stun grenades against civilians, injuring at least one person in Freedom Square.
Kherson, near Crimea annexed by Moscow in 2014, is the first major city seized by Russian forces after their invasion of Ukraine on February 24. It has since been the scene of regular demonstrations by its inhabitants against the occupier.
