A decapitated body was discovered on Friday on the edge of a departmental road in Tarn-et-Garonne, franceinfo learned from the Montauban prosecutor’s office, confirming information from La Dépêche du Midi. The body was found in Albias, north-east of Montauban on the side of the road to Cos.

It is a witness who discovered the body, by chance, and who notified the emergency services. Arrived on the spot, the firefighters noted the death then left the scene so as not to pollute the scene. The area has been secured. The deputy prosecutor went on site as did a forensic doctor, specifies France Bleu Occitanie. A criminal investigation was opened and entrusted to the gendarmes of the Montauban research brigade as well as to the Toulouse research section.

In a press release, the Montauban prosecutor’s office specifies that the track “of a villainous crime is privileged”. The victim has been identified. He is a 31-year-old man known for “traffic offenses and thefts”.

According to the first observations, the victim was stabbed in several precise ways. Two severed forearms were discovered on Friday. The head was found this Saturday at “a hundred meters from the premises in a plastic bag”, details the parquet.
