It was a very difficult day on Friday for Quebec golfer Maude-Aimée Leblanc. Despite an excellent start to the tournament the day before, she suffered the ax at the end of the second round of the Drive On Championship held in Florida.
Leblanc, who is back on the LPGA Tour this season, therefore returned a card of 78. She could not meet par on seven of the 18 holes, committing a double bogey in the process.
Thursday, the athlete from Sherbrooke had yet done well on the course located in Fort Myers with a first round of 67.
The Canadian Brooke M. Henderson rather experienced the opposite to start this tournament, to a certain extent. After a score of 71 to start the competition, she did better on Friday with a round of 67 to find herself at -6. Henderson nevertheless remains far from the lead since the Irish Leona Maguire and the American Marina Alex share the top at -13.
