(Copenhagen) The life of the very popular former Queen of Denmark, Margrethe II, who has just abdicated in favor of her eldest son, the current Frederik responsible for the project.
“ Af Guds nåde (Editor’s note: literally By the grace of God) is an important story that concerns us all as Danes, told from the point of view of the Danish royal family and centered on Margrethe,” said producer Pernille Bech Christensen, of TV2 television, quoted in a press release.
The series, developed for 18 months by TV2 and the company Sam Productions, behind the political series Borgenwill begin in 1940, the year of Margrethe II’s birth and will follow her through the different eras of her life.

Filming is scheduled to begin in 2025, and the cast list has not yet been finalized.
