A cyclist loses his life following a collision with a vehicle in Val-David in the Laurentians.

A 64-year-old man died after being hit by a vehicle around 4 p.m. on Saturday at the intersection of Montée du 2e rank and rue Campeau in Val-David, confirms Stéphane Tremblay, sergeant spokesperson for the Sûreté du Québec.
The car was turning left and would not have yielded the right of way to the cyclist who was descending the Montée du 2e rank. The man was taken to hospital in critical condition and succumbed to his injuries a few hours later.
An investigation is still ongoing.
