A criminal trial has been requested against the Russian artist Piotr Pavlenski and his companion Alexandra de Taddeo in the case of the intimate videos of Benjamin Griveaux, according to the requisitions of the Paris prosecutor’s office dated March 29, which franceinfo has could consult on Friday 22 April. The couple, indicted in February 2020 after the broadcast of an intimate video of the one who was then a candidate for La République en Marche for mayor of Paris, has since been placed under judicial supervision.

In its requisitions, the Paris prosecutor’s office requires a criminal trial for the couple for “invasion of privacy”. Their maintenance under judicial supervision was also requested. On February 15, Benjamin Griveaux announced that he was withdrawing his candidacy for the municipal elections for mayor of Paris. The Russian artist has always claimed his gesture since the start of the procedure as being “an integral part of his artistic expression and his militant actions on his pornopolitical site”, notes the Paris prosecutor’s office in its indictment.
