Sectarian excesses: a congress on the arrival of extraterrestrials arouses concern in Limoges

The association promotes their conference in Limoges (Haute-Vienne). 2,000 people have purchased places costing more than 150 euros to attend the “Exovision Symposium”, from March 16 to 18. Why is their gathering causing concern? To find out, the French teams invited themselves to one of their meetings. A man notably claims to have communicated with extraterrestrials. In the assembly, no one seems to question his speech.
A risk of sectarian drift
According to them, the arrival of extraterrestrials is imminent in France. However, faced with the announced upheaval, the director of Alliances Célestes claims to want to hold conferences and shows in Limoges. “We are here to have fun, to develop our imagination”, says Jean-Michel Raoux, the director of the association. Among the twelve speakers are hypnotherapists and a French figure of anti-media conspiracy. Their presence raises the concern of local elected officials and specialists, who particularly mention a risk of sectarian excesses. The Interior Ministry calls for vigilance.
