Muriel Uncovers the Truth

Marc’s exposé on social security tax fraud has hit the pages of Midi Libre, igniting a flurry of interest from journalists eager to interview Catherine.

Meanwhile, Boris attempts to reach out to his mother, but his efforts are in vain. Laurine informs him that Catherine is currently consulting with her lawyers about the fraud allegations. When Boris inquires about his mother’s thoughts on the matter, Laurine admits she’s uncertain but has difficulty believing that Catherine would perpetrate such a scam for a mere few hundred thousand euros.

In a different turn, Marie-Sophie expresses her regrets to Sohan for initially suspecting him of attacking Marc. Despite her reasons for suspicion, the editor-in-chief of Midi Libre reassures her that he is not involved with Sohan. Sohan proposes they move past the incident and restore normalcy to their lives. However, Marie-Sophie clarifies that if he moves back in, they won’t be rekindling their relationship, opting instead to sleep in separate rooms, effectively ending their romantic involvement.

Later in the day, Catherine arrives at L. Cosmétiques, vehemently asserting to Elisabeth that the claims in the article are defamatory and untrue. Elisabeth counters with evidence, prompting an urgent need for a response. She informs Catherine that she has reached out to Mr. Fourneau, the editor of Midi Libre, who has offered her a right of reply. Despite Catherine’s reluctance, Elisabeth insists on restoring the company’s reputation.

Enraged, Catherine contacts her assistant to prepare the required documents for the interview and summons the director of the Coquelicots center. After hanging up, she confides in Eliott about Elisabeth’s intentions to oust her and her willingness to go to great lengths to accomplish this.

Meanwhile, Muriel inquires with Elisabeth whether she was the source of the information regarding the social security fraud. Elisabeth admits to it and requests that Muriel keeps her involvement confidential.

Elisabeth later meets Alain outside the hospital, and her unusually cheerful demeanor does not go unnoticed by her husband.

Florent Moves in with Hugo and Sabine

During breakfast, Florent apologizes to Sabine and Enzo for his excessive behavior the previous night. Before leaving, he encounters Hugo and sets up a meeting at his office later that day.

Upon reaching his office, Florent is bombarded with messages from Enzo, who is sending him various real estate listings. However, Florent seems uninterested in the prospect of finding a new home.

Sabine, concerned, shares with Eve that Florent appears disheveled and is still residing in his hotel room. When Eve inquires about the evening spent with Hugo, Sabine mentions that they got along well and enjoyed a pleasant family gathering.

Conversely, Hugo shares with Yann that he felt bored during the evening and is irritated that he ended up staying over and finishing his favorite jam.

As he heads to the office, Hugo informs Florent that his tenant is habitually late with rent payments. Although it eventually gets settled, Florent believes this is unacceptable. A visibly uncomfortable Hugo hands over the lease to Florent.

Not far away, Enzo reaches out to his mother, expressing concern for his father and requesting that she host him temporarily. Sabine assures him she will discuss it with Hugo.

At day’s end, Sabine approaches Hugo about the possibility of hosting Florent for a few days. Although hesitant at first, Hugo struggles to find reasons to decline. Sabine, however, counters every excuse he offers until he finally concedes. Grateful, Sabine kisses him and quickly calls Florent to share the good news, which he readily accepts.
