To obtain better prices, the UFC-Que Choisir association offers a mutual insurance comparator, whose prices will increase by more than 8% this year.
Mutual, complementary health, protection insurance: nearly 400 organizations offer to cover medical care. A jungle of contracts in which many have already gotten lost. This opacity could be expensive, according to UFC-Que Choisir. The association examined the individual contracts of 250 mutual insurance companies to offer a comparator. This tool promises to find the most suitable mutual insurance company. Prices can range from simple to triple depending on the contracts.
Contracts adapted to health needs
“You can find contracts which reimburse very well, but which can reach really prohibitive sums, while you can find very competitive contracts which may have slightly lower guarantees, but which are entirely adapted to your needs. needs”, summarizes Gégory Caret, director of the consumption observatory at UFC-Que Choisir. Bringing competition into play between different mutual insurance companies can result in annual savings of several hundred euros.
