A company offers implants containing the health passport

A Swedish company now offers the implantation of a microchip containing the health passport of its user.

“It is always accessible for me or for anyone else who really wants to read it (…) even if I don’t have my phone”, explains Hannes Sjoblad, director of DSruptive Subdermals, giving a demonstration on his forearm.

“They don’t have batteries, they cannot transmit a signal on their own, so in practice, they are passive. They never give out your location, they are only active when touched with the phone. So that means that they cannot be activities to know anyone’s position. And what is important for me is that the people who receive these implants do it on a voluntary basis, they are curious, they want to work with these new technologies, ”he adds.
