If you buy a jersey on the website of the French Basketball Federation, know that it was flocked at Le Mans! MyFyt13, a Le Mans company created in 2017, has an exclusive contract with the FFBB. It produces club t-shirts and personalizes those sold by the federation.
Several thousand swimsuits ordered
This contract allows the Le Mans company to produce all club jerseys with the FFBB Teamsport logo. She has negotiated relatively low prices for the clubs, some may even take advantage of the partnership with Amazon to bring the prices down. These jerseys are produced by a subcontractor in Bulgaria, then “sublimated”, ie the logos are printed directly into the fabric.
In addition, MyFYT13 also takes care of the jerseys sold on the federation’s website, which are flocked directly in the offices in Le Mans.
Enough to ensure good orders: “We are around ten sets of shirts per week for the clubs,” explains Yoan Gaudier, one of the co-founders of the company. And for the federation jerseys, it’s several thousand orders each year. “For the moment, they will have to deliver 2,000 in 2022 and 5,000 in 2023.”
Towards the 2024 Olympics?
Without counting the exceptional orders, on particular events. Like this limited edition t-shirt in tribute to Nicolas Batum’s cons during the semi-final of the Tokyo Olympic Games, which allowed the French team to qualify for the final. “We did a lot of riding, so that it was ready on time, but we are happy that the federation had this idea and asked us” assures Yoan Gaudier. This t-shirt, sold in around 500 copies, will be reissued as Christmas approaches.
The three bosses of MyFyt13 “very proud that a small business in Le Mans can work with national associations”, hope to have even more orders as the 2024 Olympics approach. “And why not work with other federations”.
