A collision between a vehicle and a snowmobile leaves two seriously injured in Saint-Esprit

A collision involving a vehicle and a snowmobile left two seriously injured Sunday evening in Saint-Esprit, in the Lanaudière region.

Emergency services responded to Route 125, near Turcotte Street, around 6:30 p.m.

“According to initial information, the vehicle collided with the snowmobile while it was crossing Route 125,” said Sergeant Ève Brochu-Joubert, spokesperson for the Sûreté du Québec (SQ).

The two people who were on the snowmobile, a man and a woman, were transported to a hospital center in critical condition, added the SQ. The driver who was in the vehicle was not injured.

SQ reconstruction specialists were dispatched to the scene to analyze the scene.
