A vinyl collector from Brittany, who owns 130,000 records, decided to part with 8,000 at an auction.
Robert Lacire is a collector who owns 130,000 vinyl records. He began his collection in the 1960s. “I often went to Jersey or Paris and I brought back, I brought back, I brought back”, explains Robert Lacire. With the arrival of the CD, he decides to keep his collection, which he stores at home, but also in two garages. “When someone asks me for a record, I say I have it, but I don’t know where it is”, laughs the man, who wanders in the middle of the rays. Among his vinyls, classical, jazz, varieties.
Robert Lacire has decided to sell 8,000 vinyls at auction, in order to make room in his collection. “It’s 70 years of music history that today will be separated, divided to go to other houses, to have other listens”, says Pierre-Guillaume Klein, auctioneer. Some copies are more expensive than others, like a 33 rpm sold for 230 euros.
