a close friend of Michael Jackson tells the whole truth about Islam, the religion that the King of Pop followed before he died

A Jehovah’s Witness by confession, Michael Jackson was interested in all religions. But one of them interested him more than the others: Islam. So much so that, then 50 years old, he plans to convert. It was in November 2008 that the singer would have passed the course. On the 21st of the month exactly, the American press got carried away: Michael Jackson officially converted to Islam during a ceremony in Los Angeles: “An imam from the local mosque came and Michael made his Shahada, the declaration of faith of Muslims” says the Sun. His name is now Mickaeel.

Information which, 14 years later, has just been denied. Indeed, if his brother Jermaine pushed him to convert during his lifetime, while affirming that if he had done so he would still be alive today, the singer had not finally taken the plunge. Invited to the Touche set not at my post, Jackie Lombard, the producer of American stars, close to Michael Jackson, decides to clarify the situation.

Asked by Cyril Hanouna about the religion of the king of pop, the latter affirms that despite his interest in all religions, and particularly Islam, of which he read the entire Koran, he never officially converted. A shake-up for fans and experts.
