A Christmas dinner to break the isolation of seniors

To bring joy this Christmas day, seniors take part in our Great Friends dinner, an event that helps break isolation.

This December 25 dinner has become a true tradition since its first edition in 1962.

The Little Brothers initiative allows us to return to the essentials of the holiday season, that is, to spend quality time in good company.

Passing through the dinner, our journalist noted that several seniors there are not lucky enough to count on the support and accompaniment of loved ones.

“These are people who no longer have meaningful relationships […] there are some who are more likely to find themselves isolated in their old age,” says Elsa Fourez, organizer of the event.

The initiative would not have been possible without the help of the volunteers who organized the dinner.

One of them explains the reasons behind his involvement in the Les Petits Frères organization.

“For us, Christmas was overconsumption, so why not make a difference for those who need Christmas, those who need to have loved ones. That’s why we’re here,” said Jules Daigle.
