At around 6.30 p.m. on Saturday 11 December, a serious accident occurred on the A35 motorway, near Sausheim (Haut-Rhin). A child died. Six other people were transferred to hospital. Their vital prognosis is not engaged.
At least three vehicles involved
The accident occurred shortly after the slip road from the A36 to the A35 towards Basel, near the Peugeot plant in Sausheim. At least three vehicles are involved.
The six injured people were transferred to Mulhouse hospital, in a state “relative urgency” according to firefighters. The circumstances of the accident remain to be determined.
A traffic lane was cut for evacuations. The restoration of traffic is not expected before 10 p.m.
