Saint John the Baptist Church and its Entombment

The church is in the Gothic style. The construction of the choir began at the end of the 12th century, the nave and the side chapels were built from 1531 to 1548.

She is famous for its “Entombment” made in 1515 and its nativity scene in gilded wood dating from the 16th century. The Entombment is considered one of the finest examples in Europe and its restoration was completed in 2009.

The circle of lights

The circle of lights in East Chaource a festival that mixes the arts, fire and nature. Organized since 2001 on the heritage site “les Poteries” in Chaource, a site that dates from the 16th century.
